Our Board Directors

An experienced Human Resources practitioner, Jim has over 40 years of experience working in the Disability Employment Services, Vocational Education and Training and Banking sectors.

A great proportion of his work has involved directly or indirectly assisting people with barriers with their transition through school and into further education, training and/or employment.

Jim is a volunteer with Red Cross and other community organisations and is also a board member with Peel Valley Training and Employment.

He strongly supports the purpose of Sora and has witnessed first-hand the help and support given to our communities through the various programs.

Emma Trigg joined the Board of Directors in May 2016. Emma has a background in marketing and community partnership development. She has experience working directly with Boards and Management in the process of change and service improvement.

Emma has held managerial roles in both the corporate and not-for-profit sectors and has a Commerce degree with post graduate Honours in Services Marketing. After growing up and studying in the Tamworth region, she spent almost ten years in Brisbane and returned in early 2011 to live and raise her family here. Emma brings her marketing and strategic planning skills to the Board, along with qualifications in corporate governance.

Luke has over 20 years’ experience in project support, management and delivery across the NSW Government sector including areas with health and education. Specialising in Aboriginal community and stakeholder engagement and more recently the development and implementation of Reconciliation Action Plans.

Debbie has lived in Tamworth all her life and is the Chief Executive Officer of Careers Network Inc. In this role she works together with education and industry to provide career pathways for young people. She enjoys assisting young people to realise their dreams and has had the pleasure of working with a range of stakeholders, including Sora.

Debbie is also a committee member of the NSW State Workplace Learning Network and Greater Northern Skills Development Group. As a committee member, she contributes to strategies that provide support to students studying Vocational Education and Training, and assists young people to achieve their career pathway goals. Debbie joined the Board of Sora in September 2021.

Callum is an experienced project and people leader with a strong background in civil engineering, human resource management and large scale infrastructure delivery. With more than a decade working across major projects and organisational improvement initiatives, he is recognised for his strategic approach, collaborative leadership style and commitment to strengthening community outcomes.

Callum brings extensive experience in governance, stakeholder engagement, risk management and organisational change. He has led improvements to committee processes, supported emerging professionals, and contributed to sector wide initiatives that promote innovation, capability building and enhanced professional standards.

His career has included responsibility for delivering high value, community focused projects, guiding multidisciplinary teams, and implementing frameworks that support cultural inclusivity, accessibility and long term operational sustainability. His work has also involved advising on change management, process optimisation and leadership development, reinforcing his passion for building high performing, people centred environments.

Driven by a strong sense of community, Callum brings a thoughtful, values based approach to board directorship and is dedicated to supporting strong, resilient and inclusive communities.

Claire is a senior strategic leader with extensive experience in policy development, organisational transformation and evidence‑based service design. With a career spanning government, community‑focused initiatives and executive‑level strategic roles, Claire is recognised for her ability to drive legislative reform, shape long‑term organisational strategy and influence positive outcomes for regional communities. She has led organisation‑wide planning processes, guided high‑performing teams and delivered initiatives that support stronger, more resilient communities.  Her work has consistently focused on improving outcomes for children, families and vulnerable groups.

Claire is also an active contributor to community and volunteer initiatives, where she has developed a strong understanding of community needs, regional challenges and the importance of civic participation. Her leadership is shaped by a deep connection to regional New South Wales, where she grew up and where she has chosen to raise her family.

Craig Clarke is an experienced finance and governance professional with more than two decades in banking, specialising in commercial, agribusiness and regional economic development. He is recognised for delivering strategic growth, maintaining strong risk and compliance standards, and building trusted, values‑based relationships.

Craig brings meaningful previous board experiences, contributing to strategic planning, governance, risk oversight and stakeholder engagement. His time in community leadership roles has strengthened his commitment to supporting regional development and fostering positive social impact.

A dedicated advocate for community wellbeing, Craig is actively involved in local initiatives and service projects, reinforcing his passion for strengthening the regions in which he lives and works.

With deep regional insight and specialist expertise in finance, governance and risk, Craig brings a collaborative, commercially minded and community‑centred approach to his work as a board director.
